    If I buy this with the 3/8 hose what would be the pressure and gpm with drops

    • @JETTERSnorthwest
      @JETTERSnorthwest 4 дня назад

      For the Eagle-200 trailers, 3/8" hose would be on the 10gpm/4000psi model "4010-DWR", which drops to about 3200psi at the nozzle when flowing the full 10gpm at full throttle thru its 400-feet of 3/8" hose

    I seriously think a portable quite high pressure hose ie with a decent sized tank and a jet trigger controlled nozzle which controlled the psi would be very useful. Where is one or can it be invented?

    • @JETTERSnorthwest
      @JETTERSnorthwest 9 дней назад

      Yes indeed - but we prefer 1/2" since there is a lot of pressure-drop thru 3/8" at 12gpm -- it's just shy of 300psi for every 100-feet of hose (IF the jetter is actually putting out 12gpm under pressure). Btw - that's 3X the psi-loss vs. 1/2" at 12gpm

      Hi does the jetter turn on at all? If it does not run at all it may be the Ground-Fault interrupter within the power-cord. But if it does run, connect water and run it WITHOUT a nozzle for a while (hold the hose tightly so it doesn't get away from you!!) because a common issue with small electric-powered jetters is if any of the orifice-holes in the nozzle plugs then the motor kicks off to protect itself, or it stops-and-starts thinking that you have closed the ball-valve for a moment. If it runs fine without nozzle then check/clear all the orifices in all of the jetter's nozzles. Let us know !

      Compared to many cheaper 1/2" types yessir @brian2100 because of 2 factors: [1] its non-sticky jacketing is more pliable and [2] we use an aramid-fiber underneath to hold pressure up to 5500psi vs. cheaper multi-layer polyester 4000psi which makes a hose fatter/stiffer -- in fact sometimes customers question that it's 1/2" cuz it has a skinnier outside-diameter than most 1/2 hoses ;)

      In the USA, 120-volt electric-powered indoor jetters max out at about 2300psi, but for best results they are typically run around 1500psi-1800psi to allow for more GPM flow out the cleaning-nozzle ;)

      @@JETTERSnorthwest. For best result what is recommended gpm and psi?

    • @JETTERSnorthwest
      @JETTERSnorthwest Месяц назад

      1.5gpm-2gpm at around 1800psi is solid if you're talking results from a small 120-volt electric-powered jetter, and you can add a good rotating grease/sludge nozzle to deal with bonded buildup. But if you can connect the mini/trap jetting hose to a larger gasoline or propane engine-powered jetter then you can jump up to around 5gpm and 3000+psi for far better cleaning-power - especially if dealing with tough grease

    • @JETTERSnorthwest
      @JETTERSnorthwest 2 месяца назад

      For cutting out roots? And what is your jetter's GPM/PSI specs? The #6 is maximum 6-GPM if you have a 4000psi machine, or it yields about 5-GPM at 3000psi... that'd be relatively weak GPM-impact - do you have a higher-GPM jetter??

    • @fishawk90
      @fishawk90 2 месяца назад

      @@JETTERSnorthwest I don't have a jetter just a Honda pressure washer 4gpm 4000 psi. Yes it's for roots in the pipe.

    • @JETTERSnorthwest
      @JETTERSnorthwest 2 месяца назад

      OK with a 4-GPM machine the REAPER #6 will "only" build about 2000-2500 PSI which will still do some light cutting. We can improve that PSI to ~3000 by customizing it from standard 4 rear thrust-jets down to 3 rear thrust-jets, but that'll reduce the Reaper's ability to pull itself and the hose into the pipe so I'd only recommend that if the pipe-distance is under 75'. Bottom line: it'll be slow-going bit it will do root-cutting for you, but it might miss roots at top of the pipe due to the low 4-GPM input. Hope that helps -- let us know!

    • @JETTERSnorthwest
      @JETTERSnorthwest 2 месяца назад

      Urinals are fickle as you know - it depends on the design. If the urinal/drain has a smooth/bending flow-path then the nozzle+hose can typically be worked thru the pipe's curves, but if the urinal has a blocky flow-path then the nozzle likely will hit a "road-block" and you'll have to pull it

    • @JETTERSnorthwest
      @JETTERSnorthwest 2 месяца назад

      It depends on the hardness of the blockage: Yes for the common "soft" clogs these small electric-powered Drain Invader jetters can blast thru blockages that a small snake can -- plus the jetter scours & flushes the pipe. For very "hardened" blockages the snake might be faster at unclogging, and then many pros finish with the Drain Invader to scour and flush the pipe :)

    • @JETTERSnorthwest
      @JETTERSnorthwest 3 месяца назад

      Hmm it looks like the 2160 does only 2.9gpm which is pretty light for de-scaling lime -- we like to see the GPM at least match the 4" pipe-diameter for scouring the pipe, or double that GPM for professional "rooter class" cleaning. But to answer your question I would use a rotating "controlled-speed" Grease-Hog type with no forward jet -- no guarantees since I don't know how hardened the lime scale is, but if it not too dense this will work well: shop.jettersnorthwest.com/collections/1-4-jetter-nozzles/products/1-4-grease-hog-nozzle?variant=47666522685747

    15:28 Wait, did you just say to use Vaseline on that o-ring? Never use petroleum on an O-ring. Use a silicone or teflon based lube. O-rings are rubber and will deteriorate and expand under petroleum so use silicon lube. Even special applications like Viton 'O' rings/seals for acidic applications and EPDM for alkaline applications. If ever in doubt, use silicon lube! Heads-up to auto workers, the rubber weather striping on your car or around your sunroof, never use a petroleum-based products, only silicon lube. Yes, I've heard the stories of auto repair shops recommending Vaseline but let me warn you, it will lead to O-ring/weather striping expansion (swelling) and deterioration of the rubber. Great video though.

    what you use as your unit ( psi and gpm ) brand ? where would I get the 3/16 stainless jetter hose ?

    • @JETTERSnorthwest
      @JETTERSnorthwest 7 месяцев назад

      The 3/16" S.S. hose is standard with our DRAIN INVADER-"X" Jetter models (1.5gpm/2300psi electric-powered for indoor use), but the 3/16"S.S. hose is popular for all sizes of service-jetters - even large trailer-jetters at low throttle - for jetting the smaller drains: shop.jettersnorthwest.com/collections/jetter-hose/products/3-16-stainless-steel-trap-hose (watch the video at the link as well!!)

    Roto-Drill vs Reaper?

    • @JETTERSnorthwest
      @JETTERSnorthwest 7 месяцев назад

      We love them both, but the REAPER's rotary parts - specifically the "Rotor" and "Seat" - are made of Tungsten Carbide ("TC"), while the the ROTODRILL's rotary parts are Ceramic. TC is MUCH more durable than ceramic and this is a factor because in both types the Rotor "smacks" into the Seat with each startup (there has to be a slight looseness between the Rotor & Seat; that's why theses nozzles rattle when you shake them). The REAPER's TC parts handle the start/stop jetting-process better than its less expensive Ceramic competitors. Also, the Reaper's TC Rotor/Seat create an incredibly true "circle" spray-pattern which speeds up the forward-cutting action vs ROTODRILL. ruclips.net/video/DWDn1MRDvXM/видео.html

      I've been using the reaper 3 years now. 12 gallon per minute pump at 3700 psi. I remove calcium out of sewer lines with this as well have cleared 6" nearly plugged for 60 ft with reaper in 3 hrs. Need minimum capacity what I am using with the reaper. I now own 2 reapers. Easy to rebuild too.

      thanx for the reply; I'd say that you must be very good at taking care of your jetter/hose!! We made the video because so many operators peel or chunk their hose at the cleanout entry - especially threaded steel cleanouts. Btw, what brand is your hose? (I assume it is 1/2"I.D.?)

      You can email our parts team at: sales@seattlepump.com and provide them this information so that they can choose the right nozzle: (1) What thread-size should it have to screw onto your jetter's hose-end?, (2) What flow does your jetter do in GPM [or LPM]?, (3) What pressure is your jetter in PSI [or BAR]?, (4) What size/diameter is your jetter's hose and how long is it?

    Can the reaper with a 3/8" hose and a small portable 4 to 5.5 gpm cut through roots?

    • @JETTERSnorthwest
      @JETTERSnorthwest 8 месяцев назад

      5gpm will cut roots with the 3/8" REAPER #6 if the jetter is rated for at least 3000psi (5gpm is much slower than an 8+gpm jetter tho). I would not recommend any less than 5gpm because at, say 4gpm, there is not enough water-flow to build 3000psi against the Reaper-6 nozzle's orifices (because the orifices are the main point of resistance that the jetter's GPM builds pressure against). For example, 4gpm forced thru the Reaper-6 will only build around 2000psi, which will have poor cutting-action. So far, the Reaper #6 model has the smallest orifices available in the Reaper lineup. Maybe they will come out with a #4 or #5 with smaller orifices for 4gpm jetters but it'd be even slower because water is the cutting/cleaning tool - the lower the GPM, the less the impact on roots and buildup

    I have a 4 gpm, 4000 psi machine. I also have a turbo nozzle. Looking to clear roots from 80 year-old 4” cast iron sewer main. Would that work, or is a turbo nozzle stronger than a jetter? I’m worried about cracking the old pipes if the jet is too strong.

    • @JETTERSnorthwest
      @JETTERSnorthwest 9 месяцев назад

      it just depends on the strength of the pipe - if it is normal then a turbo shouldn't be a problem, because high-GPM jetter machines with root-cutting nozzles like a Reaper or warthog hit the pipe walls harder than a turbo at only 4gpm. Question I have is how are you going to get the turbo nozzle to pull itself into the pipeline?

    What’s the gpm you can get out of a 3/8 hose thanks

    • @JETTERSnorthwest
      @JETTERSnorthwest 9 месяцев назад

      We recommend 10-GPM maximum to minimize "pressure drop" thru 3/8"ID jetting-hose, but you can do up to about 14gpm thru 3/8"ID hose except that GPM radically increases the pressure-drop (depends on hose-length of course)

    How many gpm can you get out of a 1/4 inch hose

    • @JETTERSnorthwest
      @JETTERSnorthwest 9 месяцев назад

      We recommend about 6-GPM maximum thru 1/4"ID jetting-hose to minimize "pressure drop" thru the jetting-hose, but you can do up to about 8gpm thru 1/4"ID jetting-hose except that flow radically increases the pressure-drop (depends on hose-length of course)

      If the Warthog USED to do 4000 and now it doesn't it might just need a rebuild. But if the Warthog has NEVER done 4000psi then it probably has the wrong orifice-tips, cuz if they are too big there is not enough restriction to build 4000psi. Did you buy it from us? We do not work through Amazon, yet we do have many nozzles online. Step one is knowing the outputs of your pressure washer: (a) What FLOW does it do in GPM or LPM? (b) what PRESSURE does it do in PSI or BAR?
